Launch/Discovery Trip May 2006
After a thorough review of the research assets of the six collaborating universities, representatives from the four SETsquared Partnership universities visited Southern California in May 2006 for an intensive schedule of meetings to meet their counterparts at the University of California, Irvine, and the University of California, San Diego. Over 100 separate meetings were arranged by the program team, This visit determined the applied research focus of the program, and raised the profile of the collaboration with key stakeholders in California.
