UK Minister for Science and Technology
Lord Sainsbury, Minister for Science and Technology, travelled to San Diego in preperation of his forthcoming Review of Science and Innovation due out later this year. Guided by the Global CONNECT team, Lord Sainsbury met with the key stakeholders in the genesis of the original CONNECT model so as to learn how to replicate its successes in the United Kingdom.

In a collaboration between Global CONNECT and Global CONNECT member BNSD, Korean technology transfer managers spent a week in San Diego (with bookends in Korea) benchmarking their transfer and commercialization practices against the San Diego experience.

Five companies from Daegu, Korea (BND, Ditto, Egis, Ondemandsoft, and Websync) visited San Diego in April and were intensively coached before presenting before Springboard panels.
